  • Collection Method: Residents can schedule a pickup for brush, bulk trash or bagged yard waste by contacting the 311 Call Center:

    1. Call 311 Dial during business hours to arrange collection or email 311@chattanooga.gov. You can also download the 311 app on your phone.

    2. Provide Information: Give your name, address, and details about the items.

    3. Schedule Pickup: Arrange a collection time within approximately 8 working days.

    4. Prepare for Pickup: Follow city guidelines for placement and readiness of items.

    Guidelines:

    • Qualification: Service is available only for residents, not businesses or landlords.

    • Accepted Items for Bulky Waste: Ensure no mixing with household garbage, railroad ties, treated wood, or brush.

    • Reminder for Brush: Assemble brush at one location on your property.

    • Placement: Items should be placed near the curb, away from obstacles like parking areas, sidewalks, or drainage clean-outs. Keep brush separate from other items and at least 5 feet away from cars, mailboxes, and other objects. Avoid placing brush over water meters or under low-hanging wires. Do not place brush in alleyways.

    Additional Tips:

    • Safety: Avoid approaching collection trucks for safety reasons.

    • Follow Up: Contact 311 for any issues with scheduled pickups.

Under the new system, you will receive an estimated pickup time within 1-8 business days after your request.
